Monday morning, a head-on accident involving a heavy truck claimed the life of one person.
The incident occurred around 9:30 a.m., when a vehicle, with only one person on board, took Highway 40 in the wrong direction for reasons still unknown. The violent collision with a heavy goods vehicle took place near Boulevard de la Côte-Vertu, in the borough of Saint-Laurent.
The driver of the light vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.
The truck driver was not injured.
-The accident caused significant traffic disruptions in the area, due to the presence of emergency services and the investigation carried out by the Sûreté du Québec.
