PARIS MATCH INFO. Ten years ago, the editorial staff of Charlie Hebdo was decimated by a terrorist attack. Many actions are put in place so as not to forget.
On the occasion of the commemorations of the tenth anniversary of the Charlie Hebdo attack which decimated part of the editorial staff, the “Young People with Macron” (JAM) are launching a poster campaign, this Tuesday, January 7, “to pay tribute to the victims and defend the Charlie spirit which continues, even today, to be called into question,” explains Ambroise Méjean, president of the movement.
The poster, printed in 5,000 copies, features three historic covers of the satirical newspaper: the one published the week following the attack, showing Mohammed, with a tear in his eye, holding a sign reading “Je suis Charlie”; the one published at the opening of the trial for the attacks of January 7, 8 and 9, 2015, illustrating several caricatures of Mohammed with “All that for that” written in yellow letters; and a last one which caricatures the three main religions in France (Catholic, Muslim and Jewish).
