During his acceptance speech — the 51-year-old actor won Best Performance in a Motion Picture, Drama for his work in “The Brutalist” (which also won Best Motion Picture, Drama) — Adrien Brody thanked the organizers of the ceremony, the other actors named with him, the cast and technical teams of the film “Brutalist”, but also particularly his companion, Georgina Chapman.
“To my beautiful and incredible partner, Georgina. Your generosity of spirit, your own resilience, your immense creativity are a daily reminder of what to be,” he said, on the verge of tears.
“I wouldn’t be here in front of you [le public, ndlr] if it wasn’t for you [Georgina]. There was a moment, not so long ago, when I felt that this moment might never be offered to me again, so thank you,” he concluded, very moved.

She filed for divorce from the fallen producer in 2017, following accusations of rape and sexual assault concerning him. “My heart breaks for all the women who have suffered enormously because of these unforgivable actions,” she said publicly at the time. “I chose to leave my husband,” she explained, ensuring that she put all her strength at the service of their young children, born in 2010 and 2013, and of whom she obtained custody.
The romance between Georgina Chapman and Adrian Brody was born in 2019. People confirmed their relationship the following year. A source told the magazine that this new love “with an interesting person with a deep passion for her work” allowed Georgina Chapman to “distract her attention from the painful situation and her subsequent breakup”.
