Storm Floriane: a strong gale will occur in our Center – Val de Loire region in the morning of Monday January 6, 2025. What to expect?
A strong gust of wind linked to storm Floriane this Monday!
During the night from Sunday to Monday, we will have a sky more or less hazy to cloudy depending on the sector. We’ll see more or less difficultly the stars. Of punctual manner, a few drops or showers will be possible.
And very sensitive southerly wind will strengthen throughout the night (gusts of 30 to 60 km/h, locally 60 to 70 km/h).
On Monday morning, a front froid will approach West Central – Loire Valley with some rain. He will shift towards the East throughout the morning. In front, towards East of Centerthe ciel sera temporarily more or less hazy to cloudy depending on the sectors (locally a few drops or waves). At daybreak, temperatures will fluctuate regularly between +10°C and +15°Cfrom North to South of the Center.

In the afternoon, the last remnants of the cold front will quickly evacuate from the East of the Center. - Cher : between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. (peak between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m.)

According to the Center region – Loire Valley, “the Rémi coach service and school transport are maintained throughout the region Monday January 6 in the morning. THE forecasted climatic conditions (storm Floriane) and the possibility of very localized violent winds can lead to traffic delays.”
