One robot, many hats
SwitchBot therefore presented its new model at CES 2025, the K20+ Pro, described as a multitasking robot for the home. Thanks to its FusionPlatform, it can change function depending on the accessories attached to it. Vacuum cleaner, air purifier, delivery assistant or even security system, it must offer a wide range of uses depending on needs. Its ClawLock system is supposed to ensure simple and quick connection of the modules, and its compatibility with Alexa, Google Assistant and Siri will allow remote management via voice commands.
Accessories for every need
The K20+ Pro will offer several kits:
Patrol Kit : a surveillance camera to monitor the house in real time and detect movements.
Air Purifier Kit : a purification module to improve air quality by filtering allergens, odors and pollutants.
Combo Kit : a lightweight vacuum cleaner for quick and punctual cleanings.
In addition to this, the robot can carry loads of up to 8 kg, which could be useful for moving small objects or dishes around the house, and transforming your shack into the house of the future. Users can also combine multiple modules, such as the camera and fan, to tailor the robot to specific needs.
Advanced customization
Where it gets even more interesting is if you have a DIY soul. The K20+ Pro indeed offers customization options thanks to the FusionPlatform. This allows you to add 3D printed parts or third-party devices, such as speakers or UV lamps. The robot can therefore become a real modular tool, capable of responding to much more specific projects.
-Release planned for late 2025
The SwitchBot K20+ Pro will be available on the official SwitchBot website by the end of 2025. Prices for additional modules remain to be confirmed, but the modular approach suggests à la carte pricing. With this new offering, SwitchBot would like to redefine the use of domestic robots. In any case the idea is interesting, and the fact that SwitchBot is a major manufacturer suggests that this platform will not be abandoned overnight, so it remains to be continued.
