Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James continues to make NBA history game after game.
Friday, during the game against the Atlanta Hawks, LeBron added a new line to his already impressive record. The one who celebrated his 40th birthday last week became the absolute leader in the number of 30-point games, thus breaking the record held by Michael Jordan with a 563rd 30-point game. The Lakers won 119-102 against the Hawks.
After equaling Michael Jordan’s record on Thursday during the Lakers’ victory against the Portland Trail Blazers, LeBron did it again on Friday with an exceptional performance: 30 points, 3 rebounds and 8 assists. Thanks to this victory, the Lakers have had 5 wins in their last 6 games.
While LeBron’s new feat is remarkable, he wasn’t the fastest player to reach this milestone. Indeed, it took him 451 games more than the Chicago Bulls legend to reach this total.
Comparative statistics: Jordan vs. Lebron
Michael Jordan had reached 562 30-point games in just 1,072 games, while LeBron James needed 1,523 games to surpass that mark.
