There are still a few months before its launch in China, but we already know a lot about OPPO’s next foldable smartphone. Rumors which have just been confirmed by new certifications, particularly with regard to the camera’s photo sensors.
The launch of the OPPO Find N5 should be closely monitored, even if it should not be marketed directly on the Old Continent. Indeed, OnePlus Open 2 should resume its features in our regions, thus ensuring the succession of the excellent OnePlus Open, a serious competitor to the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold and (especially) to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 6.

What are the best foldable smartphones in 2025? The comparison
While waiting for its official release, the Find N5 is already the subject of a few rumors, some of which have just been confirmed. As noted The Tech Outlookthe device has just obtained three certifications which allow us to learn more about its components: SIRIM in Malaysia, SDPPI in Indonesia and the Camera FV 5 database.
A 50-megapixel main camera
It is the latter that interests us particularly, since it reveals the technical characteristics of the Find N5 cameras. Its main sensor is listed here as having 12.6 megapixels, compared to 7.1 megapixels for the front camera.
This is a far cry from the previously leaked rumors, and that’s completely normal. Pixel Binning technology should be there, the smartphone combining four of its pixels together to make them brighter. So, thanks to the magic of multiplication, we guess that the main sensor will be around 50 Mpx, and the front 28.4 Mpx.

Which Oppo smartphone to choose in 2025?
It remains to be seen what will happen for the ultra-wide angle camera and the periscopic telephoto lens, which are currently suspected of also having 50 Mpx sensors.
The Tech Outlook finally reveals to us that the main camera will be entitled to an f/1.9 aperture, while the front camera will benefit from an f/2.4 aperture.
Some technical characteristics which still need to be confirmed
That’s all these certifications tell us for now. We will therefore have to wait a little longer before having further confirmation on the rest of the OPPO Find N5 technical sheet.
In the meantime, rumors give it a battery of potentially up to 5,700 mAh, 80 W wired charging, and 50 W wireless charging. On the processor side, it should be one of the very first foldable smartphones in the world to s equip with a Snapdragon 8 Elite. Finally, we should be entitled to IPX8 certification, a clear improvement compared to the IPX4 of the OPPO Find N3 and the first OnePlus Open of the name.
