This Friday morning, at 9:33 a.m., a serious traffic accident occurred at a place called Le Nouveau Monde, in the town of La Chapelle-Viel (Orne).
Two vehicles collided head-on in circumstances as yet undetermined. The shock, of extreme violence, left two victims.
Two victims died
The victims, two women aged 30 and 60 according to our colleagues from West Francewere incarcerated in their respective vehicles.
17 firefighters centers in L'Aigle, Bourth, Longny, Mortagne and Argentan, as well as doctors from the SMUR in L'Aigle and Mortagne were mobilized. The gendarmerie and the department service were also present.
Despite the efforts made, both victims did not survive their injuries. One of them was from Soligny-la-Trappe and the other would be from around Mortagne.
The rescue operation ended shortly before 11 a.m.
