It is therefore a tragic outcome that the case of the disappearance of Magali and her son Naël, aged 8, experienced. The Valence prosecutor’s office indicated in a press release that their Peugeot 107 vehicle had been found in Chabeuil (Drôme) by the gendarmes with two lifeless bodies nearby. According to the public prosecutor, it seems to be “the child and his mother sought, subject to future findings“.
For the moment, the circumstances of their death remain to be established. The investigation was reclassified as deprivation of care for a minor by ascendant leading to death, with the prosecutor specifying that this classification is likely to change after the autopsies.
The mother and her son were to go to Villars-de-Lans on the morning of January 1, from their home in Romans-sur-Isère (Drôme). But since their departure around 8:30 a.m., they had not given any news.
According to France Bleu, the 45-year-old mother then sent a message to her eldest daughter to tell her that they were finally on their way back.
Since this last contact, the mother’s mobile phone had been cut off. The national police therefore considered this disappearance worrying and launched an appeal for witnesses.
