Urgent call to regulate TLS Contact fees

The president of the Tunisian Organization for Consumer Orientation, Lotfi Riahi, declared that, following numerous complaints from visa applicants, particularly for the European Union area, the organization submitted a request urgent action aimed at regulating visa application processing fees.

Speaking today on “Jawhara FM”, he stressed that the fees charged by the intermediary company between embassies and visa applicants which is none other than TLSContact are very high and unjustified.

He explained that the services offered by this company do not correspond to the exorbitant prices charged, adding that it would be necessary to reimburse the costs in the event of visa refusal, as is done in other countries.

Lotfi Riahi called on the Ministry of Commerce to intervene to impose clear and transparent pricing for visas, according to well-defined criteria.

He also denounced the authorization granted to a foreign company to provide these services, instead of favoring a Tunisian company, in order to protect personal data.

He finally urged a review of agreements allowing private companies to manage these services, in particular the processing of visa applications and individuals’ personal data.
