Algeria Football– At just 22 years old, Théo Zidane, the third son of the iconic Zinédine Zidane, is charting his own path in professional football. Currently a Córdoba CF player in Liga Adelante (Spanish D2), Théo gave an interview to the Spanish newspaper Markin which he returns to the inevitable question: the weight of his famous name. However, he did not speak in any way about Algeria, a country with which he has been associated through several rumors.
Contrary to what one might imagine, Théo Zidane affirms that he does not feel pressure linked to his last name. “I don’t feel any weight or responsibility because of my last name. My responsibility is the one that I have set for myself as a person and as a professional,” he declares.
This maturity seems to be the result of a family environment which, although full of success, encourages each of the Zidane children to forge their own destiny. “My goal is to enjoy football and make my way,” he adds, while acknowledging the inspiration he draws from his father’s legendary career.
Arriving at Córdoba CF last summer, Théo Zidane quickly established himself in the team. In 19 appearances this season, the midfielder has already scored four goals and provided one assist. These statistics demonstrate his impact in a team which, promoted this season, is currently in 14th place in the standings.
His role within the club goes beyond simple statistics: Théo brings refined technique and a vision of the game inherited from Zidane DNA, while developing his own style.
Théo Zidane is not the only one to follow in his father’s footsteps in the world of football. His brothers Elyaz and Luca are also continuing their careers, while Enzo, the eldest, recently announced his retirement last September.
-With a calm approach and a clear vision of his objectives, Théo Zidane shows that he is ready to write his own chapter in the history of football. His playing philosophy and his state of mind allow him to stand out, not as a “son of”, but as a player determined to leave his mark on the field.
The name Zidane is synonymous with greatness, and Théo seems ready to be a worthy ambassador while remaining true to himself.
