OL: Caqueret €20 million, Textor's new crazy idea to fill the fund

Maxence Caqueret, in difficulty at Olympique Lyonnais for several weeks and on the sidelines of Pierre Sage's plans, could well leave the club this winter.

The midfielder, who is currently nursing a thigh injury, is the subject of strong interest from Crystal Palace, who are considering offering him a 5-year contract. The young Lyonnais, whose contract runs until June 2025, has seen his role reduced in , with only 14 matches played this season, including 8 starts.

The English club, managed by John Textor, seems ready to put nearly 20 million euros on the table to attract Caqueret and reduce the Lyon workforce, which must face financial constraints imposed by the DNCG. OL management hopes that this departure could constitute an opportunity to reduce the club's payroll. However, the outcome of this matter has not yet been decided, with other English clubs also interested in the profile of the ex-international hopeful. For the moment, Caqueret continues his convalescence, but his future seems far from Lyon.
