OL Mercato: Textor ready to give himself a final gift with Crystal Palace?

In difficulty at OL, Maxence Caqueret (24 years old) could receive an unexpected lifeline from a John Textor club.

Would we finally see, on the OL side, the benefits of multi-ownership and the John Textor system? While the Rhone club has already finalized the sale of Jeffinho to Botafogo (€5.3 million + 30% profit-sharing) and the departure of Gift Orban to Hoffenheim for €12 million (bonus included) is almost certain, Les Gones could well use John Textor's connections to Crystal Palace – before the desired sale of his shares in the Eagle – to move on from Maxence Caqueret (24 years old).

Crystal Palace real exit door for Caqueret?

Downgraded in recent weeks after having been essential in the eyes of Pierre Sage, the native of Vénissieux could be transferred for a sum slightly less than €20 million to Crystal Palace according to Foot Mercato which speaks of a five-year contract on the London side for Maxence Caqueret. The website specifies, however, that the deal is far from being finalized and that other Premier League teams are also on board. Tottenham, Everton and West Ham have also seen their names associated with the former U21 international. A lead however extinguished by OL specialist at L'Equipe Hugo Guillemet.

Pushed towards the exit this winter after having failed to leave the nest this summer, Maxence Caqueret is still under contract at OL until June 2027. His departure could still remove a big economic thorn in the side of his training club, which seeks to raise €55 million in January from player sales.
