This Wednesday, January 1, 2025, Netflix has released a brand new mini-series entitled I miss you. This adaptation of the eponymous novel by Harlan Coben tells the story of the investigator Kat Donovan, whose fiancé Josh disappeared eleven years ago and never gave any sign of life again. One day, she comes across her face while scrolling through profiles on a dating app. The reappearance of the love of her life will then force her to delve back into the mystery of her father's murder and unearth long-buried secrets from the past.
Consisting of five episodes, I miss you has everything to keep Netflix users in suspense. And, for good reason, she has already rose to second place in the top 10 most watched series on the platform in real timejust behind the phenomenon Squid Gameseason 2 of which was released a week ago.

What happened to Josh, Kat's fiancé, in I miss you ?
At the start of episode 5, Kat finds Josh on a beach. Our heroine is in shock and demands explanations from the man who abandoned her eleven years ago. He tells her that he has never registered on a dating application and that he does not know Dana Fells. Josh's Facebook profile was created by his daughter Sadie who didn't want him to be alone. We then learn that Josh is single, Sadie's mother having died several years ago.
If Josh admits to Kat that he ” shit “ disappearing overnight at the time, he explains to her thathe knew his father was killed because he was corrupt but didn't want to tell him for fear that the truth would destroy him. He apologizes to her and tells her that he has never been able to forget her. But Kat refuses to listen to him any longer and leaves…
Does Brendan find his mother Dana Fells in I miss you ?
Meanwhile, Dana Fells' son Brendan is taken hostage after his mother escapes. While Titus decides to burn everything to prevent her from escaping unscathed, Dana frees all the other people held prisoner. Kat goes there.
While Titus points his rifle at Brendan, he orders Dana to show herself or he will not hesitate to kill his son. He pulls on the young man's knee and threatens to go further when Dana shows up in front of him. She begs him to let Brendan go. Then Kat goes to the scene, which is burning, and manages to shoot Titus before he attacks Brendan or Dana again. Mother and son come out of there safe and sound.
Who is Parker in I miss you ?
The heroine of I miss youplayed by actress Rosalind Eleazar, has not yet finished with the investigation into the death of her father. She goes to meet Parker, with whom Clint cheated on his mother, and discovers that he is a man. Kat then becomes aware of the dark secret that her father has kept all these years. She also understands that Calligan had discovered the relationship between her father and Parker and that he blackmailed Clint to force him to work for him.
After a while, it became too much for Kat's father, who told Calligan he was done. At the same time, he ended his affair with Parker. “He is the only man I have ever loved” he admits to our heroine. But we have to wait for the last moments of the finale of I miss you to find out what really happened the night Clint was killed…
Who is responsible for the death of Kat's father in I miss you ?
While she got back together with Josh for a week, Kat learns that her boyfriend is the man responsible for her father's death. The main person explains to her that he didn't want to come to that and then tells her the whole story… Aqua, Kat's friend, surprised Clint and Parker in the middle of the street one evening. Kat's father chased after her and went to her house to beg her not to tell his daughter. Aqua assured Clint that she wouldn't say anything but let him know that he needed to tell Kat and Odette the truth, adding that she understood how he felt.
But, seeing Aqua receive a call from Kat on her phone, Clint became enraged and physically attacked his daughter's friend. He hit and threatened her until Josh showed up at Aqua's house. Faced with a totally uncontrollable Clint armed with a knife, Kat's fiancé then stabbed her. Stagger arrived and realized that it was too late for Clint, who was dead… He took care of the crime scene to protect Josh and Aqua and made them promise not to tell Kat, Odette and to the police. They convinced Leburne to confess to Clint's murder in order to close the case and move on. Unable to bear seeing Kat every day because he felt guilty, Josh chose to disappear.
Despite everything, we understand that Kat forgives Josh at the end of the series and that she wants to stay with himas she approaches his hand…
