“I will disappear from the face of the Earth”

PEOPLE – Not much fame for him. Actor Tom Holland, who returns to film sets after a year's break, gave a long interview to the magazine Men’s Health published this Thursday, January 2. He explains that he intends to stop his career the day he becomes a father.

“When I have kids, you won’t see me in movies anymore. (…) I will just disappear from the face of the Earth”he declares, specifying that apart from his activities as a father, he will concentrate on his passion, golf. Tom Holland, 28, has been in a relationship with actress Zendaya for several years. But unlike his partner who has had a series of projects in recent years (Dune, Challengers…), Tom Holland needed a year's break.

“It was something I needed to do. I've been playing non-stop since I was 11.”he recalls. This is the moment when he broke through with the musical Billy Elliott. He then toured non-stop, notably performing Spider-man, then having leading roles in Cherry or even The Crowded Room.

This break is nevertheless over, since he puts on the costume of Spider-man for a fourth part expected in 2026. The same year, he will star in Christopher Nolan's next film alongside Zendaya, Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, and even Charlize Theron.

Furthermore, Tom Holland is also questioned in this interview about the reasons which push him not to be on the red carpets during his partner's premieres, even if he participates in the event. And justifies: “It’s not my time, it’s his.” And if we go together, we'll talk about ourselves. »
