Tayfur fell ill at his home in Marmaris on December 15 and was transferred first by ambulance to a private hospital in the district and then to another private health facility in Muğla.
It was learned that the artist, who was treated in the intensive care unit of the general surgery department, had a stent inserted into his brain vessel during a surgical operation carried out in a hospital in Antalya and was released.
The artist, who was on dialysis for a while and had his son’s kidney transplanted in Antalya in 2020, was transferred from Muğla to Antalya on the evening of December 16, where he was treated and operated on for the last times.

Ferdi Tayfur was born in 1945 in the village of Taşçı in the Yüreğir district of Adana. His father, Cumali Bey, named his son Ferdi because he was a fan of voice actor Ferdi Tayfur.
