Corruption – A Casablanca court postpones the case of ex-minister Moubdii until next week

A story of financial crimes. Following a request from the civil party, the criminal chamber of 1st instance at the Court of Appeal of Casablanca was forced to postpone the examination of the case of former minister Mohamed Moubdi, in detention for several months, to next week.

The decision was motivated by the desire to give the defense of the Moroccan Association for the Protection of Public Property to take the time to examine the file and prepare its defense on the basis of the request it submitted , according to local media.

Recall that Moubdii, who previously held the position of Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister in charge of the public service and the modernization of the administration, is accused of “squandering public funds, exploitation of influence, corruption and falsification of customary, commercial and official documents. »

It should be noted that the legal action against the former president of the Collective Council of the city of Fqih, Beni Mellal region, during successive mandates, was based on a complaint filed by the regional branch of the Association against him , who spoke of “waste of public funds, illicit enrichment, violation of public transaction law, manipulation of transactions and fraud in the value of invoices, payment of contributions for unfinished work and orientation of certain transactions to specific companies “.
