The IME Pierre-Sarraut de Montauban is a medico-social support platform serving children with disabilities and their families. It is managed by the Opteo Foundation. He once again demonstrated his commitment by organizing, for the first time, a general meeting outside the walls of the institution.
It was in the elegant setting of the restaurant Le Jardin Il Tavolino that this meeting took place, bringing together IME professionals in an atmosphere that was both studious and friendly. Anne-Marie Gil de Gomez, director of the IME, opened the evening by presenting, in conjunction with Sandrine Picard, head of department, the various support systems opened in recent years, making it possible to respond as closely as possible to the needs of children with disabilities and their families.
Today, this platform supports 164 children's situations. The forms of intervention are largely focused on inclusion, coordination of pathways and support for families, always prioritizing the most critical situations from a waiting list that is far too large. More recently, as part of the “50,000 solutions for disability” plan, 13 places were granted to the establishment. It will be even more a question of moving away from the logic of any establishment to move towards more inclusion and access to common law services.
Then, Anne-Sophie Morena, founder of Autorégulation Accompagnement et Expertise, captivated the audience with a speech on the challenges and new practices of the integrated system. The evening continued with a dinner around Italian specialties, a moment of exchange and conviviality. The feedback from staff was unanimous: this initiative was a great success, and many have already expressed their desire to repeat this experience.
This meeting illustrates the constant involvement of the management and professionals of IME Pierre-Sarraut, always in search of innovation and well-being for their young beneficiaries, in an atmosphere of solidarity and kindness.
