Already the end of a rumor? According to The AthleticLiverpool rejected an official approach from Real Madrid for Trent Alexander-Arnold at the start of the winter transfer window. The Spanish club, interested in the England international at the end of his contract next summer, has sounded out the management of Anfield for a possible transfer in January. However, Liverpool have made it clear they are not willing to negotiate the departure of their vice-captain, without even discussing numbers. Separately, the club denied Spanish rumors that Alexander-Arnold had expressed his desire to join Madrid.

As a reminder, from January 1, Alexander-Arnold will be free to discuss with foreign clubs for a free transfer at the end of the season (his contract ends on June 30, 2025, Editor's note).
