Adopted during a meeting chaired by the governor of the province of Chefchaouen, Mohamed Alami Ouaddanein the presence of the secretary general of the province, the director of the Urban Agency of Tetouanand representatives of local authorities and the decentralized services concerned, these plans concern 7 douars in the commune of Bni Mansour17 douars in the commune of Bab Taza and 14 douars falling within the commune of District.
The number of local authorities in the province covered by perimeter delimitation schemes thus reaches 7, with a total of 65 douars covered so far, on a total area of around 27% of the territory of the province of Chefchaouen.
According to a press release from the Tetouan Urban Agency, the governor of the province recalled, during this meeting, the provisions of the joint ministerial circular of April 28, 2023 between the Ministry of National Territorial Planning,Urban planningHousing and Urban Policy and the Ministry of the Interior, relating to the simplification of the construction procedure in rural areas.
Mr. Alami Ouaddane also praised, on this occasion, the role of the members of the Provincial Planning Committee in the operation to delimit the perimeters of the douars.
-For her part, the director of the Tetouan Urban Agency, Nisrin Alami, highlighted the importance of these plans for the inhabitants of the douars concerned and for the development of these areas, also mentioning certain conditions specific to the plans, including the minimum area required for construction.
The meeting, in which the regional inspector of town planning, architecture and land use planning also took part, was marked by a detailed presentation on the douars concerned, as well as the modifications made to the plans on the basis of the remarks of the members of the Provincial Committee.
