The incident was reported at 8:41 a.m. local time near the Fashion Show Mall, very close to the famous Las Vegas Strip. Firefighters and police quickly intervened to secure the scene. At this stage, no injuries have been confirmed. The hotel is said to have triggered its fire alarm system, local reports do not specify whether a complete evacuation took place.
