Jocelyne Wildenstein, nicknamed “the cat woman” following numerous cosmetic surgery operations, died on December 31 in Paris, according to “Public” informed by a close family member. She was 84 years old.
Born Jocelyne Périsset in Lausanne (VD), on August 5, 1940, she had become a figure in the celebrity world and lived in New York.
It was to please her husband, the billionaire Alec Wiledenstein, a great cat lover, that Jocelyne Wildenstein had undergone countless operations, which had almost disfigured her.
These repeated cosmetic surgeries did not prevent Alec Wiledenstein from divorcing. A procedure closely followed by the press at the time because 10 billion dollars were at stake.
The divorce was finalized on March 6, 1998. Jocelyne Wildenstein then obtained ownership of the Wildenstein mansion in New York, a castle in France, a 297 km2 ranch in Kenya and an annual pension of $2.4 million. .
