This serious violation not only directly affects the reputation of the Vietnamese durian industry, losing the trust of Chinese and international consumers, but also causes serious damage to the interests of genuine durian producers and businesses, VINAFRUIT warns.
Because when fraud is detected, the authorities of the importing country can strengthen control over Vietnamese durian. This affects the export activities of companies as the code is repealed by China for violating quality regulations.
In addition, fraudulent behavior also creates unfair competition in the market, causing damage to companies that produce and market durian in accordance with regulations.
Therefore, the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association calls on relevant authorities to strengthen inspection and strict supervision of durian packaging and export facilities, and strictly deal with violations. At the same time, strengthen cooperation with the authorities of importing countries to jointly combat commercial fraud.
At the same time, it is necessary to complete the database of growing area codes and packaging facility codes, which will facilitate the management and traceability of product origins.
