Nikolaj Ehlers scored a goal and had two assists in a 4-2 Jets victory over the Ottawa Senators on Saturday in Winnipeg.

Mark Scheifele and Kyle Connor each scored a goal and an assist. Gabe Vilardi added a power play success for the Jets (26-10-1). Goaltender Connor Hellebuyck stopped 33 pucks in front of the Winnipeg net.

Ridley Greig and Tim Stützle, both on a power play, recorded the goals for the Senators (18-5-2). Goalkeeper Mads Sogaard made 19 saves.

Ehlers scored midway through the third period and assisted on Vilardi’s goal, which had given the Jets the lead less than two minutes earlier.

The Senators led 2-0 early in the second period, but the Jets responded with two goals in 2:15 to bring the duel back to square one.

Scheifele set up Connor’s goal at 12:46, then Ehlers made a pass that allowed Scheifele to escape and beat the Senators goaltender with a backhand shot at 15:01.

Connor’s goal extended his point streak to six games.

Greig deflected a shot from Thomas Chabot past a cloudy Hellebuyck at 4:03 of the second period. Stützle completed a play by Drake Batherson at 10:40 of the opening period.
