The Isle et Crempse en Périgord Community of Communes (CCICP) held its last meeting of 2024 on Wednesday December 18, in Saint-Hilaire-d’Estissac. Under the presidency of Marie-Rose Veyssière, the community delegates tackled a dense agenda, marked by important decisions, particularly for schools.
Modernize schools
The assembly voted for a loan of 300,000 euros intended for the renovation of schools in the area, of which there are ten. The work in progress or to come will allow, among other things, better thermal and sound insulation, the installation of new ventilation (VMC) or climatic equipment and the improvement of playgrounds, often with a view to greening.
The Council validated the fourth phase of the work, for a total amount of 684,500 euros. It will be financed by various subsidies (Equipment grant for rural areas, Departmental Council, Heat Fund) and partial self-financing. In Montagnac, Douville and other municipalities, specific adjustments are planned to address issues of space and comfort for students.
The culture and tourism commission took stock of the year, emphasizing the importance of sustainable tourism to promote local heritage.
A rising tax?
Financially, although the 2024 budgets are being adjusted, an operating surplus is expected. A reflection on a moderate increase in the housing tax on second homes in 2025 has been initiated.
Finally, the Community Council unanimously approved a grant of 3,000 euros to help Mayotte, hit by tropical cyclone Chido.
