The color bearer of SKA Saint Petersburg, in the Kontinental Hockey League, shined again during Friday’s match against HC Sotchi. With a 1-1 tie in the first period and his club playing on a numerical advantage, the attacker ignored the presence of two opponents nearby to pass the puck to his compatriot Mikhail Grigorenko. The former Quebec Remparts, in the QMJHL, immediately beat goaltender Sergei Ivanov, who looked rather bad on the shot.
Before today’s game, Demidov had nine goals and 15 assists for 24 points in 37 games this season.
