A fire broke out this Friday December 27, 2024at the end of the morning, in a house located at a place called The Great West Courtin the town of Saint-Éliph (Eure-et-Loir).

Forty firefighters and ten vehicles were mobilized to control the flames.

Four adults were taken care of by firefighters and transported in an emergency to the Nogent-le-Rotrou hospital.

Forty firefighters mobilized for a house fire

As soon as the alert began, forty firefighters from the emergency centers of Saint-Victor-de-Buthon, Bretoncelles, Nogent-le-Rotrou, Beaumont-les-Autels and Courville-sur-Eure were dispatched to the scene.

Upon their arrival, the flames were already well developed, requiring significant resources to control the situation.

The origin of the fire remains unknown

The electricity of 19 neighboring households had to be cut off for an hour to secure the intervention.

At 2:30 p.m., authorities announced that the fire was brought under control. However, firefighters continued operations to extinguish the residual fires and carry out the clearance.

This phase required the commitment of twenty-nine firefighters, notably from the centers of Bailleau-le-Pin (Magny) and Bû, as well as twelve engines.

The origin of the fire remains unknown at this time.
