ROME – The countdown for one of Netflix's most famous series ends today: the second season of Squid Gamestarts again with new deadly games. The first season had unprecedented success, becoming the most watched series on the streaming platform less than a month after its release (September 2021).

Three years after having won the Squid Gameplayer 456 gives up on going to the United States and returns with a new purpose in mind: to find the people behind this game and put an end to their evil sport. Gi-hun, then, once again dives into the mysterious game of survivalstarting another deadly challenge with new contestants gathered to win the prize of 45.6 billion won.
The director Hwang Dong-hyukwhich made history at the 74th Primetime Emmys by becoming the first Asian to win Best Directing for a Drama Seriesis once again at the helm of the series as director, writer and producer. Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Wi Ha-jun and Gong Yoo reprise their roles from season 1.
