DEPARTURE ON THE WES-KOOP AXIS
The first spark of the match came from Nico Gonzalez who, on the sixth turn of the clock, made Turati's first save of the match, stretching to his right and blocking the ball. The most dangerous player for the Brianza defense is still the Argentine striker, in the 13th minute he comes close to scoring the lead by taking advantage of a short clearance from the home goalkeeper, hitting his head forcefully towards the red and white goal but finding the rebound from Turati. The Bianconeri, this evening in yellow, they found the opening goal a minute later on the Koopmeiners-McKennie axis: the number 8 shoots from the flag and Weston is found in the small area for a pass into the net which makes it 1-0.
PARI MONZA BUT NICO TAKES US BACK FORWARD
Eight minutes after McKennie's goal, however, Monza equalized the score with Birindelli's first-time left-footed shot on which Di Gregorio could do nothing. Thiago Motta's team immediately tries to bring the result back to their side especially with Conceicao's accelerations on the right which put the Brianza rearguard into crisis. To put Juventus back ahead by one goal Nico Gonzalez takes care of it with a flash of a bird of prey in the penalty area: Locatelli handles a loose ball, tipped in by a cross from McKennie, into the penalty area and it is the number 11 is very capable of taking advantage of it and put the ball behind Turati. The last play of the first half is defensive and it is made by Koopmeiners, sacrificing himself twice in closing, first on Caprari and then on Mota, closing the target and sealing the 2-1.
CLOSE TO TRIS
The first emotion of the second half features Di Gregorio who is careful in the 47th minute to stretch to his left and ward off Bianco's insidious shot from distance; on the inversion in front it is Turati who is challenged by Yildiz who, with his left foot, kicks powerfully under the crossbar. Before leaving the field to Cambiaso, Nico Gonzalez doesn't go too far from his first double in black and white with two shots from outside the area that were somehow blocked by the Monza goalkeeper. In the middle of the second half Yildiz accelerates on the left with a body feint that eludes his direct opponent, the 10 then brushes it into the penalty area for Vlahovic who touches the ball with his right flat.
VICTORY AND THREE POINTS
A quarter of an hour from time it was Yildiz who came close to making it 3-1 with a header from close range, pushing a long cross from Conceicao towards the goal, but Turati denied him the joy of the goal. Mister Thiago Motta brings in fresh forces from the bench in the final minutes to manage the lead gained in the first half and it is Thuram himself, one of the substitutes during the second half, who looks for the third goal with a central strike and a right-footed shot from outside area that is not fortunate. The last bell of the match is at the feet of Yildiz who advances into the opponent's half of the field with swerves and then kicks at the near post, finding another rejection from Turati. In Monza the Bianconeri advance thanks to goals from McKennie and Nico Gonzalez.
