Bologna beats Torino at the Olimpico in the second advance of the 17th matchday. The Emilians thus reach 28 points, catching Juventus for at least one evening. Milinkovic-Savic saves Castro's penalty in the first half
Taurus does not find continuity. After last week's success in Empoli, the Granata lost 0-2 against Bologna in front of 19,860 spectators at the Olimpico Grande Torino. It all happens in the second half, when Vanoli's team practically disappears from the radar: in the 71st minute Dallinga's first goal of the seasonin the 80th minute the former Pobega doubled the lead. Victory deserved by the rossoblù, who in the first half missed a penalty with Castro (save by Milinkovic-Savic) and hit the crossbar with the unleashed Pobega. Vanoli's team thus archived their eighth defeat in the last twelve days of the championship.
Toro shows up with Maripan in the trenches in place of the suspended Coco. In attack, with Sanabria, there is Karamoh again with Adams initially on the bench. In Bologna, however, there is room for Ravaglia between the posts and confirmation for the Freuler-Ferguson-Pobega trio in midfield.
The first thrill in the 7th minute, when referee Piccinini awards (via VAR) a penalty at Bologna for a very naive foul by Borna Sosa on Holm. Milinkovic-Savic, however, is phenomenal in repelling Castro's penalty, central but powerful, and then repeating himself on the half-hearted tap-in of the former Pobega. It will then be Borna Sosa himself who tries to equalize in the 27th minute, with a counterattack (just outside) following an assist from Pedersen. At the end of the first half Vanoli was forced to replace Walukiewicz (breathing problem) with Vojvoda. Then it is Milinkovic-Savic who responds again, coming out with perfect timing on Pobega. Just before the break, Marpian's excellent break in midfield, but his through ball was not exploited by Karamoh, and another save from Milinkovic-Savic, this time on a rather harmless diagonal from Castro.
Toro declines in the second half, which opens with a strike from Pobega that shakes the crossbar and kisses the goal line. Vanoli replaces a dull Sanabria with Adams and places Vlasic in place of Gineitis, increasing the quality rate. The balance changed in the 71st minute, when Dallinga, who had come on for about twenty seconds, took advantage of a cross from Miranda and a hole from Masina to score his first highly anticipated “Italian” goal, in his 19th appearance for the rossoblù. In the 83rd minute, after a long VAR review (to evaluate Dallinga's position), the referee validates the former Pobega's secondwho hits the mark with a low shot from the edge that enters the fray and enters the edge of the post.
