There is no two without three. After the success and second place of Beaver Creek, Sofia Goggia collects another podium by finishing third in the super-G in St. Moritz won by Austrian Cornelia Huetter ahead of Lara Gut, on the day of American Lindsey Vonn's return to competition. And Italy shines with 4 athletes in the top six: Elena Curtoni, Federica Brignone and Laura Pirovano finish behind Goggia. Two other Italians in the top 15: Bassino 11th and Melesi 13th.

“Three podiums in three races is absolutely not bad: clearly I know that compared to how I skied today there is some margin. But that's okay, not all donuts always come out with a hole. Hütter was very fast everywhere, I was at times, in spurts: but after the injury I like to live day by day” says Sofia Goggia to Fisi, after the super-G. For the 32-year-old from Asino, who returned to skiing this year ten months after fracturing her tibia and heel, it is the 57th podium of her career.

Back on track after 2141 days Lindsey Vonn. A return that did not disappoint expectations: coming down with bib number 31, the snow queen finished the race in 14th place with a time of 1'16″36, 1″18 behind the winner. Definitely a success for the American who had to end, after the bronze in super-G at the World Championships in Are, on 10 February 2019, a career halted by a long series of accidents and injuries.
