The super-G in St. Moritz (Switzerland) goes to Cornelia Huetter. Second victory of the season and eighth in her career for the Austrian who beats the Swiss Lara Gut Behrami by 18 hundredths and Sofia Goggia by 33, who confirms her good form: since her return she has collected three podiums in three races.

And as always in this specialty, the performance of the entire Italian team is excellent: fourth place for Elena Curtoni at 42 cents, one better than Federica Brignone, fifth, while in sixth place at 70 cents is Laura Pirovano. Then Macuga, Ledecka, Puchner and Suter who closes the top 10.

“This is always a Super-G to be interpreted with many bumps, blind spots, very rough terrain – commented Sofia Goggia – I didn't ski very well today, I felt more tense than last week. After Beaver Creek I actually couldn't ski anymore except in the race, apart from one lap in the open field. Today it was a very particular snow, it was tracked like a giant and staying just one meter more in the curve makes you slow down. Hütter was very fast everywhere, I was at times, in spurts: but after the injury I like to take it day by day. Three podiums in three races is absolutely not bad.”

Today, Lindsey Vonn was scheduled to return to the track, at 40 years old, after 6 stops and a reconstructed knee. The champion immediately showed that the class is intact, finishing 14th with 1.18 seconds from Huetter.

The other Italians: Marta Bassino, 11th, Roberta Melesi, 13th and Asja Zenere, 26th also scored points. Vicky Bernardi is out, Sara Thaler and Nicole Delago are at the bottom of the ranking, 41st and 42nd.
