The Superman trailer reaches 22.5 million views in the first 24 hours on YouTube alone, a record for a DC film!

The first official trailer for Supermanthe comic book film written and directed by James Gunn, which will be released in cinemas on July 10, 2025 and will give life to the new DC Universe.

The trailer turned out to be a huge success and amassed a large number of views, despite being uploaded to the YouTube channel DC and not in that of Warner Broswhich has 12 million subscribers compared to DC's 4 million.

On YouTube, he has in fact collected a total of 22.5 million views in its first 24 hoursa new record for a DC trailer on the platform. By comparison, the trailer of The Flash released at the Super Bowl took a full year to get to 32 million of views on YouTube, a figure that Superman could reach by tomorrow.

On Twitter, he reached a beyond 33 million views on the channels of Superman e di James Gunnwhich combined with YouTube views bring the total to over 50 million.

For comparison, the full trailer of The Batman has been seen 32 million times in 24 hours on YouTube and Twitter, while the first teaser trailer (published at DC Fandome) has been seen 26.9 million times in the first 24 hours.

This is an impressive result to say the least, especially if we consider that in the first 8 hours of publication it reached 12 million views on YouTube, 8 million less than the trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Homeone of the most anticipated films of recent years (where there was a lot of curiosity about the return of Maguire and Garfield).

Obviously trailer views don't automatically convert into ticket sales, but they certainly demonstrate audience interest.
