You 5: previews and cast of the last season

The fifth and final season of You, signed by showrunners Michael Foley and Justin Lo, will see a cast full of familiar faces and new additions. Charlotte Richie, Madeline Brewer, Anna Camp and Griffin Matthews will join Penn Badgley, while Nava Mau will play Detective Marquez. New additions include Natasha Behnam, Pete Ploszek, Tom Francis and Sean Persaud. Behind the scenes, the production team includes top names like Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter, while Sera Gamble, showrunner of the first four seasons of You, takes on the role of executive producer.

Filming concluded last August: the plot of You 5 will restart from what was left unfinished in London. Here Joe, in the guise of Jonathan Moore, gave vent to a spiral of obsession and manipulation, stalking Marienne Bellamy. Fans can expect a return of the dark themes and twists that made the Netflix series a cult hit, with references to Joe’s previous victims, including Love Quinn, Guinevere Beck and other characters who shaped his path.

One of the posters shows the suggestive shadow box, a macabre chest containing symbolic objects from Joe’s past: a diary, a ring, heart-shaped sunglasses and even a book entitled “The dark face of love”. This detail evokes a sense of closure, suggesting that Joe’s story will end in You 5.
