L’Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences ha annunciato quest’oggi le shortlist of the nominees in 10 categories for the Oscar 2025. These include: documentary feature film, documentary short film, international feature film, hair and makeup, original soundtrack, original song, animated short film, live action short film, sound and visual effects. Italy is represented by Vermilion Of Maura Delperoshortlisted for Best international feature film.

They were eligible for the international feature film category 85 film coming from as many countries and regions. Academy members from all branches participated in the preliminary round of voting, with the requirement to meet a minimum viewing requirement to be considered eligible to vote. In the next round, all Academy members will be called upon to view the 15 films selected to compete for the 2025 Oscars to be able to cast your vote.

Emilia Perezchosen to represent in the race for Best International Film at the 2025 Oscars, obtained six nominationsincluding two in the category Best Original Songthanks to the songs The Evil e My Way. The musical directed by Jacques Audiard – which won nominations at the 2025 Golden Globes – was also included in the shortlists for Best Hair and Makeup, Best Soundtrack, Sound Editing and, predictably, Best International Film. Wickedwhich will most likely compete for the statuette for Best Film, has collected four nominations in the technical categories: Make-up, Soundtrack, Sound Editing and Visual Effects. Dune: Part 2 follows with three nominations in the Make-up and Hairdressing, Sound Editing and Visual Effects categories. Also The Wild Robot stands out with three nominations for Soundtrack, Best Original Song (Kiss the Sky) and Sound Editing. In the end, Blitz gets three nominations for Soundtrack, Best Original Song (Winter Coat) and Sound Editing.
