After the last-gasp draw in the league with Venezia, peppered with insults and death threats to Dusan Vlahovic, Juventus returns to the field this evening, Tuesday 17 December 2024, for the Italian Cup.
The evening’s opponent, with the match starting at 9pm, will be Cagliari. The match will be played at the Stadium.
Motta did not speak to the press before the Italian Cup match
Unlike in the past, Mister Motta decided not to speak in the press conference before the match against Cagliari. Not a strike or a decision taken after the match against Venezia but, from what we learn, due to the team’s too many close matches.

The regulations and who will face Juventus in case of victory
For the round of 16, the match will be a “dry” round: in the event of a draw in the 90th minute, penalties will decide who will advance to the quarter-finals. Whoever wins will go on to face Empoli, in the match that will be played, again in a “single match”, in the week between Tuesday 4th and Thursday 6th February 2025.
