Chelsea and Ukraine winger Mykhailo Mudryk risks up to four years out after testing positive in a recent doping test. This was reported by the Ukrainian portal Tribuna through the publications All and APA. According to reports, the Chelsea striker’s first test sample carried out last October contained a banned substance. Now the player will have to undergo the analysis of a B sample. And if that also turns out to be positive, Mudryk would risk a suspension of up to four years.

his words

Mudryk entrusted his comment to Instagram: “I can confirm that I have been informed that a sample provided to the FA contained a banned substance. It was a total shock, because I have never knowingly used banned substances or broken any rules and I am working closely contact my team to investigate how this could have happened. I know I have done nothing wrong and I continue to hope to return to the field soon possible,” he wrote.

Since the doping allegations emerged, Ukrainian and English sources report, Mudryk has been excluded from Chelsea’s squad. Notably, his last appearance was on November 28 in a Conference League match against Heidenheim, where he scored a goal. The last time he was included in the team’s squad was on December 1st against Aston Villa: in that case, Enzo Maresca had justified his absence by talking about the flu.
