The new president of the RFEF attended a gala honoring the work of 50 referees.

A few hours after his election as the new president of the RFEF, Rafael Louzán inaugurated his mandate during an event organized by the Technical Committee of Referees. The new president has been responsible for awarding the FIFA 2025 badge to more than 50 international referees.

, futsal and beach football referees received commemorative plaques during the event, which brought together almost 200 officials from all categories, and was led by Luis Medina Cantalejo, the president of the Referees Committee .

Manuel Díaz Vega also received the Vitoriano Sánchez Arminio Lifetime Achievement Award. This official has officiated more than 200 matches in the Primera División and has 17 years of experience as technical director of the Referees Committee.

This season has been fruitful for national refereeing. Spain is among the five countries with the most international referees in the world. Additionally, this year was historic for futsal, as two referees from the same country officiated a World Cup final for the first time: Juan José Cordero Gallardo and Alejandro Martínez Flores.
