Sunday December 15, 2024, late in the afternoon, the Place Belle-Croix de Falaise (Calvados) found itself invaded by many people who came to attend the last draw of the Fortnight of the UCIA “Let’s celebrate Christmas together.”
Among these, Annie, a resident of Falaise who had put envelopes a few moments earlier in the ballot box, “hopes to win something”.
Another participant drops off his envelope at the last minute.
At the same time, hundreds of people followed the draw live on Facebook.
In front of this audience awaiting the results, President Laurencia de Loynes was pleased with the number of participants.
We had to go find a trailer to be able to put all the envelopes… It’s a record, with more than 20,000 envelopes distributed.
“The number of envelopes that we see this evening shows that Falais residents, residents of the Pays de Falaise, but also residents of Orne and the Caen area, came to do their shopping in Falaise,” rejoices Mayor Hervé Maunoury.
This Christmas 2024 is a success thanks to the know-how of traders!
The winners
Before knowing the lucky one, or the lucky one, of the car, Laurencia de Loynes and Mickaël Lebatteux gave the start of the last draw in the presence of Jean-Philippe Mesnil, president of the Community of communes of Pays de Falaise, d ‘Hervé Maunoury, mayor of the city, and traders present.
In the minutes that followed, the results of the K’Do checks for winnings of €50, €100, €200, €300 and €500 were revealed for the final draw of the Fortnight.
The names of the winners: Jacqueline Letourneur from Rapilly, Alain Charlot from Falaise, Martine Boutry from Saint-Pierre-du-Bû, Magali Thiriat from Noron-l’Abbaye, Marie-Thérèse Plassais from Vignats, Mathilde Dlubala from Bons-Tassily (50 €), Gérard Désert from Roquancourt, Martine Picard from Fourneaux-le-Val (€100), Victor Machard de Falaise (€200), Sylviane Lasage de Falaise (€300) and Wilfried Bacheley de Morteaux-Couliboeuf (€500).
Camille Blangy listened
A few moments later, the envelope for the winning car was drawn by the president: Camille Blangy from Falaise. The most surprising thing was that the lucky winner was there, with her three children, among the crowd.
She said she was very surprised. “I listened when the president said that it was a mixed first name and that the person lived in Falaise,” confides Camille Blangy after the draw.
It’s a nice surprise for the end of year celebrations, which will be very useful.
The lucky winner will be given the keys to the Dacia Sandero, if all goes well, in the coming days, before Christmas.
