Following its launch in October, Square Enix today rolled out a brand new update for Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Sevenbringing the remake to version 1.0.2.
This update introduces several new features, including the ability to restart battles, quickly navigate menus with a shortcut button, view available formations, and adjust camera speed. - Restart fights
Players can now return to their last save point or title screen mid-combat. - Display the training obtained
The Emperor nomination screen now displays whether the class-related training has already been unlocked. - Shortcut for combat menu
Players can return directly to the top of the Techniques and Magic menus during combat via a shortcut button:- X (manette Switch)
- △ (manette PS4/PS5)
- Y (manette Xbox)
- Adjust camera speed
An additional increment level has been added in the settings to adjust the camera speed.

- Fixed an issue where players were unable to enter more than three full-width characters in text fields on Steam Deck.
- Fixed a bug where a debug character would appear during gameplay.
- Fixed an issue where recruitable characters in the Tavern were not receiving the correct attribute gains.
- Repairs related to buying and selling items in stores.
- Fixed a bug where spell effects Shadow Servant and Magic Shield were not stacking correctly.
- Fixed an issue where Technical Points (TP) were not correctly distributed to retinue members who did not act during a fight.
- Other minor bug fixes.
