On the Ukrainian side, he is becoming a legend.

War in Ukrainejour 1 027.

The kind of news that can boost troop morale.

This Monday, Ukrainian intelligence informs that one of its snipers set a new record. This sniper would have shot down a Russian soldier at a distance of 2,069 meters. An act of war presented as a real feat since it was carried out with a Sako M10 rifle and a .338LM caliber bullet.

3 dozen targets shot down

For comparison, the record for such a weapon was achieved in 2009 by a British sniper (Craig Harrison) in Afghanistan (2,475 meters), on particularly open terrain conducive to this type of feat.

“But in modern warfare you do not have the opportunity to get out of the trench, lie down on a hill, etc. Russian drones do not allow you to fire from classic positions”declared the fighter to our colleagues

Conversely, “Lektor” (its code name) crossed the 2 kilometer mark in the Ukrainian winter. A soldier who is not at his first exploit, he who has already killed 3 dozen targets and who has received the praise of his superiors.
