Between 4 and 5 a.m. this Monday, December 16, several tenants – including him, who lives on the second floor – were awakened by an unpleasant smell. “By the time I went to the window, I saw the firefighters and the police arriving”he relates. The cause was the fire in the garbage room, located on the ground floor of the building.

“It’s not the first time. It happened last summer, late in the afternoon. I want to believe that this either accidental: a cigarette, a joint… but at 5 a.m., no”he sighs. In this building, located at 1 allée Louise-Michel, problems are regular. “We already have to deal with concerns related to hygiene. In the summer, there are cockroaches in the garbage room, you have to see the smell. »
This winter, there was nothing special to report. Until tonight. On the side of the Public Housing Office, it is indicated that a complaint against X will be filed. “To avoid this type of inconvenience, we are installing more and more trash rooms outside buildings”indicates an OPH agent.
