This is a main pipeline which supplies the communes of Noyelles lès Vermelles, Vermelles, Bully les mines, Grenay and Mazingarbe, more than 20,000 residents are impacted. The Auchan and Tradibois car parks were flooded but neighboring homes were not impacted. The leak was cut off by the VEOLIA company. According to our information, water was restored in the municipalities of Bully les mines, Grenay, Mazingarbe on Sunday evening at 11:30 p.m. Recovery is planned for the morning for the municipalities of Noyelles lès Vermelles and Vermelles.
The National Police set up a security perimeter, Mr. Mayor, the municipal technical service, Véolia, the operator (Saur), the National Police, the DIR, were on the scene.
