RFC Perwez withdraws from Arquet, “the players have won their feat”

“What folklore, what masquerade, never seen before”launched the Arquet players for their part, while waiting to know if they were going to play or not.

Perwez players wait in front of the locker room, others do not wait for the sequence of events and pick up their bags. Then the question of number arises. “Seven players, including a goalkeeper, are needed for the match to begin.”further specifies the man in black.

At 3:15 p.m., the referees begin their warm-up but not for long. There are ultimately only six Perwéziens left available and the cause is heard. “The match does not take place due to lack of fighters, I send my report and it is up to the ACFF to follow up on it.finishes the referee.

“The players performed a feat and they won it”can only note the manager of Perwez Daniel Gilson who will have tried everything to field a team this weekend. “I had found seven players of foreign nationality who are still waiting since the ACFF has not yet validated their affiliation but there were ten others who were ready to play this match. It did not take place, I will not carry out my project at Perwez, too bad for the club, but there is no shortage of opportunities.”

“We players just wanted to be free”

The Perwéziens, for their part, said they were relieved by the turn of events. “It’s sad to see this but having a third package was the only way to stop this charadenotes Antonin Herpigny. We did it while respecting the rules but we could no longer continue like this. There were too many promises and words, nothing was kept. We players just wanted to be free. There were around twenty players present at Arquet, proof that we are a united group, all in the same boat and that no one turned around.”

Ayman Tri confirms his captain’s words: “We deserve a general withdrawal because we have all made efforts and sacrifices since the start of the season and given the way it happened, continuing with Perwez had become impossible. We all wanted to bounce back elsewhere. We wanted to bother ourselves to the end by fielding a team this weekend and we wanted to convince them that there would be no point in playing.”

And too bad for the players who had agreed, via Daniel Gilson’s contacts, to help out this Sunday in Namur. “Damageremarks Mahamar Cissé, one of the players affiliated this week with RFC Perwez. I was training at Sprimont without being affiliated with it for next season and playing a half-championship in D3 with Perwez was a good opportunity but I didn’t expect that. This season’s players succeeded.”

While waiting for confirmation from the ACFF of the general package which would lead to a descent of the club to P2, and given what the club has been going through for years now and the creation of SC Perwez, there is a strong chance that RFC Perwez will come from live out his last hours. As for the players affiliated with the club this season, they are free. What they had come to look for at Arquet.
