Congratulations to Camille Chignac! Our colleague from the France 3 Limousin editorial team has just been awarded the Micros d’or, the ceremony of which took place in La Plagne this Saturday, December 14. A Golden Micro, a victory for its moving and invigorating magazine on three para athletes from Limousin, just before their departure for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.

I am very proud, proud of the three para athletes we followed, of the great journey of these high-level athletes. Also proud of the epilogue with their performances at the Olympics. Very proud of this achievement with Samuel, Adrien, Chantal, the work of this entire team who had the same vision of things.

In her magazine, Camille Chignac paints the cross-portraits of the three Limousin paraathletes: the multiple champion judoka Cyril Jonard suffering from Usher syndrome, deaf and visually impaired, the swimmer Léane Morceau, visually impaired, and the paraplegic cyclist Mathieu Bosredon.

“Beyond the space that we can give them on our channel during the year, I wanted a longer format, to spend more time with them, explains Camille Chignac. Settle down, enter into their daily life, with their loved ones, understand their disability better. They have a bruised, hampered body, but this body is also a vector of performance, effort, and emotion.”

At the Olympics, at the age of 48, Haut- judoka Cyril Jonard won the bronze medal in the under 90 kilo category. For her first Paralympic Games, at the age of 21, young Limougeau swimmer Léane Morceau failed to qualify for the final of the one hundred meter freestyle, but she is only just starting out. As for Mathieu Bosredon, the Corrézien won three gold medals at the Olympics

I would like to continue following them. Cyril is 48 years old, he’s a huge champion, and I don’t think he’s going to stop. Mathieu who won three medals in Paris, what will he do? And Léane is only at the beginning of her career. I would like to know how these three great athletes will bounce back.

There is no doubt that with her natural curiosity and her stubbornness, Camille Chignac will find these great champions on the road, at the edge of a pool or on a tatami.
