Health Canada is currently recalling Maison Lavande brand candles in a ceramic container due to a fire hazard.

Four models are covered by the company’s voluntary recall:

  • Amber, vanilla and lavender candle (69357112003);
  • Eucalyptus wood and lavender candle (69357103006);
  • Flowery grapefruit and lavender candle (69357111003);
  • Cedar and lavender candle (693571080030).

Only candles sold between May 1 and November 24, 2024 are included in this recall.

It is detailed that the flame of these candles can reach an abnormally high height, which can result in property damage and injury. An incident report was also made in Canada on December 11. However, this did not involve any injuries or material damage.

Consumers who have these candles should immediately stop using the recalled products and throw them away.

It is also possible to contact the company La Maison Lavande to obtain a refund, whether by telephone (450-473-3009), email ([email protected]) or on the company’s website. (N.P.)
