Algeria Football – At only 19 years old, Lahlou Akhrib has established himself as the new nugget of JS Kabylie (JSK). His brilliant performance against ES Sétif (ESS) on the last day of the championship left its mark and won over the supporters of the Yellow and Green.
Coming into play at half-time in place of Redjem, the winger transformed the face of the team. With his spectacular dribbling, his sharp acceleration and his ability to destabilize opposing defenses despite his small size, Akhrib played a crucial role in JSK’s comeback. One of the highlights of his performance was a devastating dribble at Houari Ferhani, the experienced ESS defender, followed by a precise cross for a teammate. Although the young winger did not score, his presence energized the Kabyle attack and earned him unanimous praise from observers.
But far from getting excited, Akhrib keeps his feet on the ground. Ambitious, he dreams of winning the Algerian champion title with JSK before attempting the European adventure. However, he remains clear-headed about the road ahead. “I must continue to work hard to meet expectations and progress further”he declared after the match against ESS.
Supervised by the leaders and supported by his coach Abdelhak Benchikha, who sees in him a player of the future, Akhrib is aware of the fierce competition in his position. The presence of players like Boualia, Redjem and Lahmeri pushes him to surpass himself to earn his place.
With such a mentality and undeniable talent, Lahlou Akhrib is already establishing himself as a sure bet and a promise of a bright future for JS Kabylie.
