The director of Hellfest, the metal music festival (with rock and punk nuances in view of certain more nostalgic choices) is facing more and more criticism concerning the programming of the famous French event. For good reason, problematic artists are far from being a rare commodity on the concert scene which takes place in Clisson (Loire Atlantique).
Latest? Till Lindemann from Rammstein, accused of sexual violence by several women – more precisely of sexual assault by around ten alleged victims. Singer who should nevertheless provide a performance for the 2025 edition of the “Fête de l’Enfer”.
But Ben Barbaud, director of the festival, does not budge. And seems to somewhat denounce – subtly, between the lines – cancel culture, this call for collective boycott concerning celebrities under serious accusations. A concept that we decipher for you here.
