the essential
As is now the case every year, a karate course will take place over half a day, this Sunday, December 15, in Saint-Orens-de-Gameville, to help parents deprived by the premature death of their children. Little Lisa was one of them in 2018, and it was her dad who initiated this course.
Next Sunday, it will be exactly six years since Lisa passed away. On December 15, 2018, this almost 8-year-old girl succumbed to the aggressiveness of a suddenly diagnosed melanoma. His dad Romuald tells this sad story with all the more emotion and strength, as he organizes a charity karate course every year, being himself a teacher in this martial art.
The goal is not so common: to help parents and families grieving the loss of a child, whether or not that child died from an illness. “It will be Sunday December 15th the 4th edition of our course A Tsuki for Lisa which we launched in 2019, then abandoned during the Covid years. The profits go directly to the association The Pink Point created by Marseillaise Nathalie Paoli who herself lost her little Carla-Marie”, indicates Romuald Canizarès, well known in the world of Toulouse martial arts.
For €30 per registration for 4 hours of training, each participant makes a 50% tax-exempt charitable donation. The course is led by four karate experts: Lionel and Lilian Froidure, Laurent Riccio and, therefore, Romuald Canizarès.
Not finding yourself alone with your pain is what guides this wonderful charitable work with a sporting twist. Every year, hundreds of children die prematurely, leaving their parents in great distress, with families frequently breaking up. On the contrary, it is to unite the entourage of the deceased child that The Pink Point was created. The association today has 300 members who can rely on around thirty volunteers.
