An apartment caught fire this Saturday, December 7, 2024. Six people were injured, including four who had jumped out of the window. Update with the Prefect of Sarthe.
For a reason still undetermined at this stage, a fire broke out in an apartment located on the first floor of a building, Allée de Lorient in Le Mans. It was 2:30 p.m.
At 3:30 p.m., the provisional report established by the Prefect of Sarthe Emmanuel Aubry showed six people injured. “We're on an apartment fire on the first floor which is under control”explained the Prefect present on site. “The recognitions continue at the level of the apartment and at the level of the apartments which are above and which are also probably affected by the fumes”.
78 firefighters mobilized
At 5:30 p.m., this report was updated by the firefighters and brought to eight injured and a total of twenty people affected by the disaster. 78 firefighters with 24 engines intervened on site.
